Why are circuit boards green?
1.Generally speaking, the whole electronic board level products have to go through the process of plate making and post-lamination.In the process of plate making,there are a few procedures that have to go through the yellow light room.The green color in the yellow light room has a better visual effect. But this is not the main thing.
For SMT soldering,there are tinning, lamination and final AOI verification.All these processes require optical positioning and calibration.Green background color is more conducive to the identification of the instrument.
2.Common red, yellow, green, blue, black.Due to process problems, many line inspection is still rely on workers to see with their eyes (of course, now most of them are using flying needle test). This is a very tiring work, and the green color of the circuit board is relatively least harmful.

3.Blue and black is because they are doped with cobalt and carbon respectively,which have certain electrical conductivity, so there is a risk of short circuit. Green circuit boards are more environmentally friendly, and will not release toxic gases when used in high-temperature environments.
4.About from 2007, people began to pay attention to the color of the PCB board,mainly because of ASUS MSI and other major high-end boards are used in the black PCB board color design, so people slowly think about the PCB color if it is black, it must be high-end. After that, more and more manufacturers began to use black PCB coating - it can be said that the inexplicable reasons led to this inexplicable phenomenon. No one has ever said that a black PCB color means that the motherboard must be of good quality. This is entirely due to the fact that first-tier brands use black to identify their product positioning. Admittedly, black PCBs can indeed demonstrate their technological strength, because black PCBs are the least visible alignment, so both design and after-sales will be subject to unprecedented cost pressures, and technologically strong PCB manufacturers use black PCBs. The color is not because the black color can improve the performance of the motherboard. From the perspective of rational analysis, we also know that color alone can not improve the performance of the board.
5.The green part of the circuit board is called the soldermask,the composition of the resin and pigment, green part of the green pigment. And because in the maintenance of green circuit boards, different alignments are easier to distinguish the difference between white, and black and white is relatively difficult to see. In order to differentiate their products, each factory uses two colors to differentiate the high-end series and low-end series. For example, for ASUS, which makes computer motherboards, yellow circuit boards are low-end and black circuit boards are high-end. In the case of Intel, yellow boards are low-end and black boards are high-end. In the case of Intel, the basket-colored boards are high-end and green boards are low-end.
