SMT Punching basic process: Solder Paste Printing,SMT Mounting, Reflow Soldering, Cleaning, Inspection.

1.Solder Paste Printing: Its role is to print solder paste or splicing glue onto the PCB pads to prepare for component soldering.The equipment used is silk screen printing machine (screen printing machine), located in the forefront of the SMT production line.

2.SMT mounting: its role is to accurately mount the surface assembly components to the PCB's fixed position.The equipment used is a punch machine, located in the SMT production line behind the silk screen printing machine.

3.Reflow soldering: its role is to melt the solder paste,so that the surface assembly components and PCB firmly bonded together.The equipment used is a reflow soldering furnace,located in the SMT production line in the back of the beating machine.

4.PCBA cleaning: its role is to assemble the PCB board above the harmful welding residues such as flux removed.The equipment used for the cleaning machine, the location can not be fixed,can be on-line, but also not on-line.


5.PCBA inspection: its role is to assemble the PCB board for welding quality and assembly quality inspection.The equipment used are magnifying glass, microscope,in-line tester (ICT),flying probe tester,automatic optical inspection (AOI), X-RAY inspection system, functional testers and so on.The location can be put aside in a suitable place in the production line according to the need of inspection.

Advantages of SMT

1.High assembly density,light weight and small size of electronic products.The volume of the component is only about 1/10 of the volume of the traditional inserted components,generally SMT after processing, the volume of the electronic product is reduced by 40% to 60%.
